Delivery Driver – Commercial Kitchen | JOB DESCRIPTION

General Description of Duties

The Delivery Driver at the Commercial Kitchen is responsible for delivering a variety of products to multiple locations and routes. The Delivery Driver must be able to follow specific routes and time schedules. Additional job duties that are required are; loading, unloading, packing, and overseeing the operation of the delivery vehicle.

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the Kitchen Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver a variety of items to different locations and through different routes; communicate any obstacles or variances in planned routes

Learn and follow specific routes and time schedules

Perform an inspection of the delivery vehicle daily and report any safety concerns or issues to direct supervisor

Prepare, Load, and unload the delivery vehicle

Follow Magnolia’s company policies and specifications with packing and unloading of product

Complete vehicle logs by specific deadlines assigned by the Kitchen Manager, submit these documents as assigned

Have an understanding and follow the Department of Transportation regulations and safety standards

Obey traffic laws and regulations in accordance to the Department of Transportation

Communicate with Kitchen Manager and/or the General Manager if product was damaged during the transportation of the product(s)

Ability to organize and maintain tight deadlines

All other duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Delivery Experience, preferably within the food industry
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

This job operates in a kitchen environment and utilizing a motor vehicle. This role routinely uses sinks and dishwashers and tools to clean kitchen appliances. Employees in this role as frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals and cleaning chemicals.
